Howegrain Lodge, Pooley Bridge
This lovely holiday lodge, a converted chapel, is located in Martindale, near Ullswater in the Lake District National Park and offers a peaceful retreat. Guests can conveniently unload their car at the door and can park further down the road. The lodge is perfect for those who love the outdoors, with many walks that can be accessed directly from the doorstep or a short drive away.
Ullswater is also just a short walk away, where visitors can try the 11-mile Ullswater way walk or stop off at Glenridding for a steamer cruise on the water back to Pooley Bridge. Afterward, guests can enjoy a delicious meal at one of the local restaurants or pubs. The lodge is on the ground floor and features an open-plan living space with a multi-fuel burner, Bluetooth stereo speaker, and balcony.
There is also a dining area and a kitchen area with an electric cooker and fridge. The lodge has two bedrooms, with one double bed and one 2ft 6in bunk bed, as well as a shower room with a shower cubicle, toilet, and heated towel rail. Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, and towels are included, along with an initial fuel for the multi-fuel burner. Guests can also enjoy a small enclosed courtyard with a sitting-out area. Please note that the property does not offer Wi-Fi and is unsuitable for children under three years old.
